Deni - all things SiB & Spin
I am a lifelong group exercise person, with 25 years in the field. Most recently, my passion has been at Strong is Beautiful where we focused on functional fitness & barbell workouts - with a bunch of team training thrown in.
I currently hold a NCSF- CPT but over the years have also had a NASM-CPT, as well as ALLL the group ex & cycling certs (except Yoga - & Zumba!!! )
I believe in group exercise as a community and a lifestyle -it is truly for EVERY BODY - and am excited to bring my vision to life at eQuillibrium Fitness!
Keith - Cardio Combat Fam
Brandi Phillips
My fitness journey began about 7 years ago when I stepped in to “SIB” for a Saturday Bootcamp class. With encouragement from my SIB friends and self determination, I continued to increase my frequency at the gym and quickly grew to love not only the physical changes I was seeing but also the mental and emotional changes I was feeling. In early 2023 I embarked on a new path to further my passion for fitness and became a National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer. I am now fortunate enough to lead the “Always for Time” class on Wednesday evenings (5:30pm) or as needed for other classes at Equillibrium.
Meladeh 'Mel' - Power Bar
With 5 years of teaching fitness classes and a lifetime as a gym rat, Mel is all about making workouts fun and effective. When she’s not in the gym, she’s inspiring young minds as a high school science teacher, coaching swim, chasing after her energetic 9-year-old, playing with her dogs or spending time with her husband.
Mel loves tackling new challenges and brings that energy to every class. Certified in Body Pump and GroupX, she’s here to help you find the joy in fitness!
Hillary Welch - CYCLE
Hillary is a LesMills Advanced RPM Instructor. She has been teaching in Southern Maryland for over 8 years. You'll find that she spends most of her indoor cycle classes dancing and making people laugh so they feel happy, motivated, and excited to work out. She uses a wide variety of genres to guide her participants through the high intensity cardio and resistance during her classes. She may even throw in a weight track to make sure they're paying attention.
When she's not teaching, she's managing the marketing campaigns for multi-billion dollar homebuilders in the US and Canada, designing home decor for her small business, or entertaining her husband and two kids. She can't wait to cycle with you and help you reach your fitness goals!
Jeni - Sunday Cycle
I have been teaching Spin for over 20 years. My passion for taking classes led me to getting certified. I still love it! Spinning is a great outlet after a hard day at the office. It is a challenging cardio workout that can be adapted to your fitness level. Plus the friendships that I have developed in class through the years are priceless.
